I am an artist navigating the vibrant intersection of sound and visual art. My journey began at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, where I earned a Bachelor of Media Arts in 2005. This educational background laid the groundwork for my artistic pursuits, but it was my experience in audio engineering at the Pacific Audio Visual Institute that truly shaped my perspective. The symbiosis of sound and imagery becomes a significant aspect of the work I produce.

Living in Vancouver, BC, I find inspiration in the rich tapestry of life around me. My art is deeply rooted in exploring themes like dualism, technology, and matriarchy—elements that reflect our complex human experience. When I put brush to canvas, I am not merely creating a visual; I'm crafting metaphors that delve into the nuances of interaction versus separation, affection versus absence, existence versus essence.

At the core of my philosophy is the idea of shifting perception. I strive to transform objects and people from mere visuals into narratives brimming with depth. I want my viewers to engage with my work in a way that prompts reflection on the moments of connection and empathy we all encounter. Each piece serves as a reminder that identity is fluid and that our experiences are intertwined.

My goal isn’t just to present beauty; rather, I aim to challenge the viewer to see beyond the superficial layers of existence. I want you to feel the emotional and relational complexities that define our interactions.

I believe that art has a vital role in mirroring and influencing the human condition. My work resonates with the increasingly relevant conversations surrounding these themes today. Through my artistry, I invite you into a space where love and separation coexist, encouraging you to reflect on what it truly means to see each other deeply.

I hope my creations prompt you to explore your own perceptions and the intricate web of relationships that bind us all together.
